Maltman has been principal of the 390-student school since 2002. He previously served as assistant principal at Sandy High School. Scott has a “collaborative and stakeholder-driven leadership style … that ensures integrity and cohesiveness,” Oregon Trail Superintendent Clementina Salinas wrote in her nominating letter. “He encourages teachers to work in a collaborative learning environment that is conducive to building a strong team of teacher leaders.” Maltman will be honored at the MetLife/NASSP Principal’s Institute and Awards Banquet held each year in Washington DC. The Institute not only salutes the principalship but provides a forum to share best practices and expertise among the states. |
