|Colonna to lead COSA New Superintendents Institute|
SALEM – COSA is proud to announce that Jerry Colonna, recently retired superintendent of the Beaverton School District and the 2011 Bev Gladder Mentorship Award winner, will be heading up the 2011-12 COSA Superintendents Leadership Institute.
The Superintendent Institute provides new, new-to-Oregon and second-year superintendents with a series of essential workshops and support. Registration for the Oregon School Law Conference and the OASE/OACOA Winter Conference is included. Participants may also receive four graduate credits from Portland State University, which may be applied to the Continuing Administrator License (CAL).
Colonna will be leading the workshop discussions and serving as a mentor resource for superintendents in the COSA Institute. He says he is looking forward to working with Institute participants. “There is no comparable professional support at a better value for superintendents than the COSA Superintendents Leadership Institute,” Colonna says. “I highly recommend the Institute for all new superintendents.”
