|District-by-district ARRA Title I, IDEA projections released|
Preliminary district-by-district projections of the Title I and IDEA funding that will be allocated to Oregon school districts as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) were released late Friday. These are estimates only, and “are not intended to predict actual amounts” districts will receive, according to the House Education and Labor Committee. “It is ultimately the responsibility of the Department of Education and states to subgrant funds” to districts, according to the committee.
These estimates do not include the funding districts will receive through the $53.6 billion State Fiscal Stability Fund, the AARA’s most significant education provision that promises to provide about $375 million to Oregon K-12 schools. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities provides the latest state-by-state breakdown of the State Fiscal Stability Fund and of ARRA education funding.
