COSA's inaugural Leadership Academy for Beginning Principals begins July 18-20 at Linfield College. The year-long academy, which will focus on the challenges facing new principals, continues with sessions in October and March. The academy has been developed and will be taught by a faculty of successful Oregon principals and other experienced education leaders, including TSPC Executive Director Vickie Chamberlain, NWREL's Nanci Schneider, OEA's Valerie Sebesta, Redmond Superintendent Vickie Fleming and principals Matt Coleman, Sally Leet, Kris Olsen, Jill O'Neil, Perla Rodriguez and Brian Traylor. Graduate credit is available. Cost for each participant in the program is $600. Registration fee includes all academy sessions, lodging at Linfield College in July, meals and materials. |
