|Presenter materials available from annual Seaside Pre Conference|
Presentations and materials from the annual Seaside Pre Conference are available now (see links below). The Pre Conference, attended by more than 240 professionals, featured 15 sessions, most of which echoed the 32nd Annual COSA Seaside Conference theme, "A Collaborative Approach to Educating All Children."
"Educating all children means understanding how to create 'Positive Behavior Supports' (PBS) within each building as well as developing a system-wide approach to providing high-quality instruction and interventions matched to student need, called 'Response to Intervention' (RTI)," Sue Roessler, COSA Deputy Director of Professional Development, said. "Both the PBS and RTI sessions were packed, as were others that dealt with challenges in special education such as strategies for dealing with the shortage in speech pathologists and hot topics in special education law."
