Participants will need to attend all four days of training: November 13, 2009, November 23, 2009, January 15, 2010 and April 2, 2010

Location: Salem, location to be determined based on enrollment

This exciting approach to supervision makes a powerful impact on student achievement, teaching and supervisor/teacher relations. Participants will develop common tools and a framework for effective coaching conversations to support teachers in identifying and implementing learning experiences aligned with best practices.

The skills and information you will learn in this four days of training include:

Day One:
	How to use a five-step process, The Cycle of Powerful Coaching, to ensure every instructional conversation is highly effective with measureable results
Day Two:
	How to apply the two essential skills used by leaders who are highly effective coaches—deep listening and powerful questioning
Day Three:
	Tools for ensuring teachers’ goals will be highly impactful to student success
	How classroom walk-throughs and frequent visits support the coaching process
Day Four:
	Effectively with resistance, navigating the adult change process and skills and strategies for providing effective developmental and positive feedback to the list of skills

Included Materials: The Coaching Tool Kit and Essential Secrets to Coaching Student Success. An optional DVD with model coaching conversations will be available for $25.
