Lincoln County School District is seeking a quality candidate with outstanding leadership skills for the position of high school assistant principal/athletic director at WALDPORT HIGH SCHOOL, with an emphasis on instructional leadership and to plan, develop and coordinate high school athletic programs.

Oregon Administrative Licensure (or be able to obtain license)
Master's degree in Education or School Leadership
Successful teaching and leadership experience at the middle and high level
Three years of relevant High School leadership role required; i.e. Department Chair, Lead Teacher, or Senior Teacher
Commitment to working with students from minority and/or lower income background
Promote a widely shared institutional belief that every child deserves and can have expert instruction and that all teachers must be advocates for students
Hold high academic and behavioral expectations for all students
Must be able to lead students to high levels of academics with students coming from low income families
Consistently seek and share best practices as an active and effective participant that contributes to a Professional Learning Community
Coordinate student athletic activities, including sports eligibility clearance, scheduling, equipment management, grade checks including LCAA and OSAA eligibility, financial management, and related meeting attendance
Manage disciplinary actions, dress code, and oversee suspensions and expulsions for all Grade 7-12 students
Assist with the instructional leadership to ensure the success of the school and the implementation of a positive school culture
Regularly observe, classroom instruction of assigned teachers monitoring the effectiveness and implementation of driving state standards to foster student learning through research- based curriculum
Experience/knowledge with 504's, special education, master scheduling, and leadership in activities such as Gear UP, AVID and CTE
Successful experience in public school administration and supervision
Skills in working with diverse populations of students

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary Range (according to CCH-AR): 2020-2021 salary schedule $102,276, plus professional development allocation.
Contract: 230-day contract between July 1, 2021, and June 30, 2022.
