The Human Resources Director will provide leadership and strategic vision in human resources management. They will create a systems-based approach that provides responsive programs and synergy to each major human resource management function including compensation management and wage administration, labor relations and collective bargaining, recruitment and placement, induction and performance and behavior management. The HR Director will participate in developing, leading and implementing priorities which sustain a richly diverse, inclusionary workforce and supports the District’s racial educational equity policies and goals. Actions and focus will support the District’s commitment to educational equity which fosters a barrier-free environment in which all students and staff, regardless of race, class, creed, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, economic status, sex, sexual orientation, including but not limited to gender expression or identify, pregnancy status, marital status, physical appearance, or the presence of any sensory, mental or physical disability, have the equal opportunity to access education and benefit in learning.

Supervision and Controls over the Work:
Serves under the broad guidance and administrative supervision of the Superintendent. Is responsible for results in terms of effectiveness of equitable planning, policies, programs and for achievement of district goals and objectives. Work is guided, and must be in compliance with, federal and state law, policy direction of the school board, and compliance with state and local regulatory agencies.

Salary and Benefits:
Annual salary range: $108,628 - $142,946
Insurance: Fully paid medical, dental and vision premiums for employee and eligible dependents. Fully paid premium for employee only basic life insurance, long term disability and accidental death & dismemberment. Optional short term disability, additional employee/dependent life insurance and flexible spending accounts available.
PERS/OPSRP: MESD pays full 6% PERS contribution.
Paid leave: Each fiscal year, administrators accrue two floating holidays, seven PTO days, at least ten sick leave days and are paid for nine holidays.
