COSA partner California Casualty offers opportunities for athletics grants, honoring heroes

COSA partner California Casualty has announced two opportunities that can benefit schools and educators.

California Casualty is receiving requests through January 15 for grants from its Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant program.  The program has a $100,000 pool of funding for 2014.  Guidelines and application forms can be found at www.calcasathleticsgrant.com.  This year, McKay High School in Salem-Keizer, Grant Union Junior/Senior High School in John Day, and Jefferson High School received Thomas R. Brown Grants.

California Casualty has also launched the “Nominate A Hero” campaign, to celebrate the contributions made by “every day heroes” such as educators, firefighters, peace officers and nurses.  Each month, one hero will receive a $250 gift card, and each monthly winner will be eligible for the grand prize of a $10,000 luxury vacation.  Nominate your hero at http://nominatemyhero.com/.

Headquartered in San Mateo, CA, with Service Centers in Arizona, Colorado and Kansas, California Casualty provides auto and home insurance to educators, firefighters, law enforcement and nurses across the country. Celebrating 100 years of service, California Casualty has been family led by four generations of the Brown family.
