Daily Update 4: Oregon administrators shadow counterparts in Xi'an Province

A team of Oregon administrators continued visiting schools in the Xi'an Province in China this week.

The U.S.–China Administrator Shadowing Project toured Middle School 66 and tried their hand at making dumplings in the school cafeteria.   They toured schools which are sponsored by the Chinese Oil Department and met with their representatives.

They continue to job shadow their Chinese counterparts in their local schools.

This year’s participants are: Michael Carter, Rainier; Joseph Von Doloskki, Medford; Rob Hess, Lebanon; Lynn Jackson, Astoria; Ken Parshall, Salem-Keizer; Mark Witty, John Day; Shirley Burrus, Creswell; Ginger Redlinger, Oregon Trail; and Colin Cameron, COSA.

Daily Update 3: Oregon administrators continue China school, cultural visits

A team of Oregon administrators is now in its second week of visiting schools in the Xi'an Province in China.

The U.S.–China Administrator Shadowing Project toured an elementary and middle school during the past few days and attended art and P.E. classes, and spoke at an all school assembly.  They also travelled in the mountain district of Xi’an and received a special jade presentation from the Xi’an provincial government.

They will spend the remainder of their time shadowing their Chinese counterparts in their local schools.

Daily Update 2: Oregon administrators visit China's Xi'an College of Arts

A team of Oregon administrators is visiting schools in the Xi'an Province in China over the next two weeks.

The U.S.–China Administrator Shadowing Project spent part of their journey at the Xi’an College of Arts with another group exchange with educators from West Linn-Wilsonville. Next they toured the Biko private academy in Xi’an and participated in a Chinese calligraphy class.

The Oregon administrators will spend this first week in educational seminars and touring in Beijing and Xi’an, followed by a week of shadowing at their counterparts’ schools.

Daily Update 1: Oregon administrators arrive in China's Xi'an Province

A team of Oregon administrators is visiting schools in the Xi'an Province in China over the next two weeks.

The U.S.–China Administrator Shadowing Project began with the U.S. delegation’s arrival in Xi’an with a visit to the terra cotta soldier display, the Bell Tower and an official welcome banquet given by the provincial officials. The Oregon administrators will spend this first week in educational seminars and touring in Beijing and Xi’an, followed by a week of shadowing at their counterparts’ schools.
