SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND BEHAVIORAL (SEB) HEALTH Coach - Strategic Partnerships for Student Success

Reports to: Strategic Partnerships for Student Success Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW
The epitome of rewarding work is working with students who come from trauma, have high needs of support to access their education and need a positive force in their life. In this position you would help cultivate that support for our district leaders and school administrators. This is an influencer role, to support the decision-makers in planning systems of support for some of their most vulnerable students. The impact of this work is vast, at the regional, district and student level by assisting in the development of equitable services for students and families.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in a field of education, counseling, psychology, or social work. Masters Preferred.
2. Valid Oregon TSPC license is preferred.
3. Experience (5 years minimum) working in a leadership role, developing large scale multi-disciplinary systems and facilitating organizational change. Experience with the K-12 education system is preferred.
4. Highly competent in facilitation and presentation skills with experience in a variety of educational and community settings.
5. Experience in developing and nurturing community partnerships in the creation of a shared vision and services preferred.
6. Knowledge and experience in system wide data analysis and continuous improvement principles and implementation.
7. Knowledge of best practices for implementing a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to meet students’ social and emotional needs.
8. Extensive knowledge of current research in mental and behavioral health. Knowledge and successful implementation of Social Emotional Behavioral practices and systems.
9. Successful experience in working with culturally diverse families and communities, and/or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to equity and strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with a diverse population.
10. Experience in delivering professional development, facilitating team discussions, and providing training opportunities to individuals and large groups.
11. Strong familiarity with Trauma-informed and Restorative instructional practices that promote supportive learning environments and build social and emotional skills is preferred.
12. Familiarity with upstream proactive mental health practices for behavioral safety and suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention strategies is preferred.
13. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

GENERAL INFORMATION
This position has the following expectations and prerequisite abilities.

4. Exceptional prioritization of tasks, timely completion of work assignments, ability to take the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Demonstrates respectful, flexible and effective teambuilding skills of cooperation, communication and active participation.
6. Present self and LBL in a professional manner including: in oral and written communication, professional disposition when working with others and maintaining professional dress standards.
7. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directives, find requested data and present in user-friendly formats for internal and public distribution.
8. Maintain regular attendance at work. Be punctual in meeting deadlines, attending meetings, and following schedules.
9. Utilize teleservice platform to provide services to educators, students and district staff as directed.
10. Ability to lift, carry at least 25 pounds.
11. Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a vehicle or work setting.
12. Conduct oneself in accordance with the Standards for Competent and Ethical Performance of Oregon Educators.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This is not necessarily an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, and duties associated with this position. The supervisor of this position may modify this list at any time it’s deemed necessary.
1. Facilitate and/or support program level meetings, district level meetings, Community Partner meetings, professional trainings, and Communities of Practice to establish and maintain a coherent and aligned K-12 model for social, emotional, and behavioral health across the districts, including responding to all inquiries about the model from district staff.
2. Facilitate and/or support the organization of trauma informed de-escalation training for both the agency and partner districts.
3. Nurture and sustain a collective regional vision for sustainable student social, emotional, and behavioral health services.
4. Identify gaps regionally of existing social, emotional and behavioral health services using ongoing needs assessment.
5. Support the maintenance of a regional resource map of existing social, emotional and behavioral health services.
6. Lead and/or support the design and implementation of an ongoing regional professional learning network centered on social, emotional, and behavioral health.
7. Consult with and Coach District Leadership Teams to identify priorities, develop action plans, and support monitoring progress.
8. Provide Implementation Support & Technical Assistance for existing and/or new SEB programs and practices in districts as well as supporting adaptations to these practices to implement in a variety of learning environments.
9. Coordinate and/or support regional professional development offerings through scheduling and management of the logistical support.
10. Work with program staff to align goals and systems in schools and districts, adapting practices and goals to fit the individual school is needed.
11. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with intra-agency programs, community-based organizations, tribes and municipal governments.
12. Create cooperative and harmonious relationships with districts, co-workers and supervisors.

Salary and benefit information shown are based on full-time employment (1.0 FTE) based on the current school year
Placement on the Linn Benton Lincoln ESD Administrative salary schedule will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, and experience
