G. Douglas Bundy

G. Douglas Bundy is currently serving as an Innovation Strategist focusing on Maker Education and the FutureBus for the Beaverton School District.

He received his undergraduate degree in music education at PSU under William Tuttle, Stan Stanford, and Charley Gray. He earned his Masters in Education under the guidance of the inimitable Ken Peterson. He went on to become the director of the highly regarded band and orchestra program at Aloha High School from 1997-2010. 

After Aloha, he went on to become the Technology Arts teacher at Raleigh Hills K-8 school in Portland, Oregon where he endeavored to develop creative capacity in children through technology and the arts. The program focuses on video game design, web design, film-making, sound-design, photography and other technology arts. In 2011 he was one of 50 teachers selected from around the world to attend the Google Teacher Academy in Sydney, Australia which was the most inspiring professional development of his life. 

In 2011 G wrote and implemented a $237,000 technology immersion grant at Raleigh Hills, which has become an inspiring laboratory for innovation and creativity. G has had the opportunity to present at the 2002 and 2012 Oregon MENC State Conference, the Oregon Google Summit in 2011(keynote) and 2012, and at ISTE 2012 in San Diego, California.

In addition to his teaching life, G maintains an active musical life. He especially enjoys performing with two groups he co-founded, The 12th Avenue Hotclub and Groove Revelation. He is also an active music educator, clinician, and adjudicator in the Northwest. He has also been to a ninja temple.
