School leaders have the potential to maximize learning across the school, even from a distance. To do so, leaders must spend time developing and maintaining the climate and culture of the school. They should also attend to the learning of the adults, including teachers and parents, as well as the learning of students. Maintaining a focus on instructional leadership is important as lessons are delivered in synchronous and asynchronous ways. However, we should not limit our focus to the now. Let’s also use this time to develop mindframes that will serve us well, long after this current crisis has passed.
