2020 Master Scheduling Workshop
The Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA), the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), and Willamette Education Service District (WESD) are co-sponsoring Master Scheduling Workshops on January 13, 2020 at Broadway Commons and January 14, 2020 at Willamette ESD; both in Salem.
The Master Scheduling Workshop is a hands-on, comprehensive training designed to teach manual construction methods to all experience levels and positions. This is an exceptional professional development opportunity for anyone responsible for building your school’s Master Schedule. This one-day interactive workshop will provide the basics needed to build a schedule and ensure student course selections are satisfied, multiple section courses are balanced, and teacher requests are satisfied. The concepts discussed in this workshop are not SIS software specific.
The complexities of building today’s master schedule in both middle and high school can be overwhelming especially if you have little or no master scheduling experience. This one-day workshop will provide the necessary basics, including:
- Identification of essential “non-negotiable” components.
- Realistic and necessary timelines.
- A step-by-step, practical method for creating a schedule that provides course selection equity.
- An opportunity to practice building a master-schedule with real numbers.
All levels of expertise are welcome, however, this workshop is geared toward first-and second-year master schedulers.
The cost for this one-day workshop is $385 (continental breakfast and lunch provided).
Space is limited to 40 attendees, so register early.
