The district is seeking a full time music teacher to work with K-12 students. We would like to have general music for K-8 and grow into having band in the middle school and high school.
The winning candidate will:
Create a welcoming environment for all students
Establish and communicate clear objectives for music instruction
Provide a variety of learning materials for students
Observe and evaluate student development
Maintain accurate records for student progress
Manage student behavior in the classroom
Support the school's goal of engaging students to achieve goals in enrollment and engagement
Qualifications:
Must meet state guidelines for the position
Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
Physical Requirements:
Employee may stand/walk 6-8 hours, sit 1-4 a day, drive 1-4 hours. Employee may use hands to repetitive grasping, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling 100 pounds. May bend, squat, lift, climb.
Terms of Employment:
193 Days. Salary established by Collective Bargaining Agreement
District paid PERS 6%
