High School Math Teacher

Stanfield SD

Stanfield School District has a vacancy for the 2021-22 school year for a high school Math Teacher at Stanfield Secondary School. This position will be responsible for teaching math and math interventions to students in the high school.

• Must hold or be eligible to hold the appropriate Oregon Teaching License and Endorsement (Advanced Math endorsement)
• Successful teaching experience
• Knowledge of best practices in teaching
• Must have a solid background in math

• Ability to obtain/maintain multiple endorsement areas
• Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with students, parents, and teachers
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred

• Work with the middle school math teacher as a team to align instruction across grade levels
• Planning instruction to meet the learning needs and styles of all students
• Delivering coherent, accessible instruction and educational materials to help students progress in learning
• Using a variety of assessments to inform instruction
• Design and implement interventions to improve student performance and understanding in math
• Creating an environment that maximizes student learning with a focus on character development
• Modeling and teaching a growth mindset
• Providing culturally responsive instruction
• Modeling and teaching respect with an awareness of diversity
• Demonstrating continuous professional growth
