Title: CTE Welding Teacher (Part-time)
Location: Oakridge Junior/Senior High School
Start Date: August 29, 2022
Hiring Incentive: $3,000
(to be paid in three installments: $1,000-Sept., $1,000-Dec. and $1,000-June)

The Oakridge School District is seeking a Construction Teacher Welding. This position is responsible for development and implementation of a metal shop classroom instructional plans and learning programs of the students at the Oakridge Junior Senior High School.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create and adjust lesson plans to account for each student’s individual needs, leading to each student’s success.
• Provide leadership in the school for promoting CTE activities and experiences for students.
• Demonstrate a creative, energetic and innovative persona and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of Oakridge students.
• Demonstrate welding techniques and foster creativity.
• Monitor the supplies of the workshop classroom and enforce safety regulations.

Education and Compensation:
• Experience with construction and equipment.
• Must hold a valid Oregon Teacher’s License with the proper endorsements or be willing to obtain CTE licensure through pathways to licensure program.

Salary will be paid according to degree and years of experience the contracted days:
(Amounts will be prorated for the number of remaining days in the school year)
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree with no experience - $42,410 (Step 3 Full Time)
Maximum: Master’s degree plus 45 hours - $64,150 (Step 10 Full Time)

The salary and terms of employment are established by Oakridge School District in agreement with conditions set forth in the contract with Oregon School Employees Association, Chapter 46 and School Board Policy.
