We are seeking a Charter School Student Success Act Specialist (Program Analyst 2) to join our team in our Salem Office of the Oregon Department of Education. This is a full-time, limited duration position scheduled to end June 30, 2023.

What you will do!
As our Charter School Student Success Act Specialist, you administer, monitor, and evaluate the statewide implementation of the Charter School Equity Grants. You will also support charter schools and ODE teams working with charter schools on all other Student Success Act initiatives. In this position, you will collaborate regularly with a variety of teams across many dynamic programs.
What are we looking for?
Candidates who are the most competitive will possess the following background, skills and experience:
● A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program or any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years experience coordinating or administering a program.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Knowledge of Oregon’s P-20 education system.
● Experience providing advice or technical assistance to stakeholders or public.
● Excellent writing and speaking skills.
● Experience in grant-making and/or administration.
● Experience in policy development and analysis.
● Experience with analysis of statutes, rules and policies.
● Experience with analysis of organizational budgets and fiscal reporting.
● Ability to organize, prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks.
● Experience working with culturally and individually diverse groups.
● Ability to solicit and value diverse viewpoints.
● Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
● Preference may be given to candidates who speak, read, and understand other languages in addition to English.

• Salary Range: The range listed is the Non-PERS salary range. Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS.
