We are currently seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Menstrual Dignity Act Analyst (Program Analyst 3) to join our Office of Teaching, Learning and Assessment at the Oregon Department of Education.

What you will do!
The Menstrual Dignity Act created the requirement for school districts to provide free menstrual products for all menstruating students in public schools in Oregon, including elementary, middle, and high school students. The program helps students participate actively in classes and school activities by alleviating some of the economic strain and experiences of shame that are often barriers for menstruating students accessing their education.

As our Menstrual Dignity Act Analyst, you administer all aspects of this program. On a regular basis you develop, administer, and evaluate program procedures to meet the goals of the Menstrual Dignity Act and work collaboratively with staff all across the agency to disburse funds and administer grants funded through the Menstrual Dignity Act. You will also engage with partners from local agencies, community organizations, and various schools.

Our amazing benefits!
At the Oregon Department of Education, we hire a workforce representative of the communities we serve, understanding that a diverse workforce strengthens our organization. In addition to our standard medical benefits and employee leave, the state also provides additional optional benefits, such as basic life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, deferred compensation savings program, and flexible spending accounts for health care and child care expenses.
● Membership in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)
● Paid days off –

○ 3 additional paid "Personal Business Days" per year
○ 8 hours of sick leave accumulated every month
