JOB TITLE: Remote Vice Principal Learn at Home Oregon
SALARY: $ : $85,618.75-111,304.38 TBD based upon District Salary Schedule
REPORTS TO: Learn At Home Oregon (LAHO) Principal
CONTRACT HOURS/DAYS: 220-260 days TBD administrative calendar
LOCATION: Remote for Alsea School District
START DATE: 2022 – 2023 School Year

Alsea School District is looking for a dynamic school leader to assist the administrative team in leading Alsea School District’s Learn at Home, K-8 virtual school. A certified staff member, under the general supervision of the LAHO principal, will be focused on students, staff and schoolwide culture with an emphasis in Special Programs.

● A valid State of Oregon Administrative License appropriate for the position through Oregon Teachers Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) with the proper endorsement
● Knowledge and experience with setting up and implementing special programs including MTSS/RTI, 504, ELL and TAG.
● The ability to effectively support, work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse backgrounds and/or cultures.
● Experience working within a virtual education setting.
● Ability to work harmoniously with others.
● Experience in evaluating teachers using a qualified Oregon Teacher Evaluation system.
● Proficient in the use of computer and internet-based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
● Successful experience in teaching and/administration
● Experience or knowledge with culturally responsive instructional practices, trauma informed care and equitable grading practices
● Experience leading professional development
● Have standards of moral character as defined in OAR 584-020-0035 - “The Ethical Educator”
● Must meet Oregon COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Teachers and School Staff (OAR 333-019-1030). Vaccination exemption forms based upon religious and/or
medical are available.
● Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate for the specific school assignment

● Master’s Degree
● Three years of experience teaching in a public-school setting
● Two years of experience in an administrative position or equivalent

● Assist the Learn at Home principal in all areas of administration.
● Work with teaching staff to implement and provide appropriate, differentiated instruction.
● Plan, implement and supervise special programs including MTSS/RTI, 504 plans, TAG, ELL with appropriate district coordinators.
● Plan and implement professional development
● Assist with employee observations, feedback and evaluations per ODE guidelines
● Assist in schoolwide reporting accomplishments of students on a regular basis, and maintain such records as required by law and district policy.
● Connect well with students, families, and the school community.
● Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the school.
● Exhibit strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
● Demonstrate good instructional practices that are engaging, organized, and effective.
● Applicants must firmly believe that all students will learn and improve – create a growth mindset culture in the classroom.
● Participate in appropriate professional activities that may periodically held in person in Alsea.

● Salary: Based on District Salary Schedule Range: $: $85,618.75-111,304.38 TBD . Salary Schedule placement depends on education and experience.
● Contract days: 220-260 TBD days per year
