Central School District serves over 3,000 students in five schools. Central employs 196 full and part-time licensed staff, 211 full and part-time classified support staff and 14 administrative staff. Together we meet the educational needs of students and families from the communities of Independence, Monmouth and surrounding rural communities. Each building has an after-school program to support student success. We have received state and national recognition for our community partnership model for providing health, mental health, and family resource supports to all we serve. Our schools score comparably on state-wide assessments. We serve students who are culturally and linguistically diverse. Our strategies are grounded in evidence-based practices that are responsive to the needs of ALL of our students and staff.

We are looking to add Behavior Specialist to our Ash Creek Elementary team at Central School District. Our three elementary schools provide all students in grades K-5 a strong comprehensive academic program. In 2022-2023 we are launching an exciting Two-Way Language Immersion program in Spanish and English.

• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are an asset and may be required.
