IT Support Technician

Willamina School District seeks an IT Support Technician. This role provides users with technical and operational support with various hardware, applications, network and communications systems. You will research, troubleshoot, and solve user difficulties with technology in an education environment. You will also provision new staff in Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft Azure AD.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong Windows troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of office productivity applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts and information in non-technical terms.
Ability to prioritize simultaneous requests and multiple responsibilities.
Ability to respond to support requests quickly.
Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment.
Understanding of networking concepts including DHCP, WINS, FTP, DNS and TCP/IP.
Experience with Google Sites including web page design, update and maintenance.
Experience with computer hardware repair and replacement for desktops, laptops and chromebooks.
Quick Learner, works well independently
Prompt and regular attendance is required.
Preference for the above skills, willing to train the right candidate.
Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Installing and upgrading hardware and software,
Provide training to end-users on operational procedures and troubleshooting techniques, new hardware and/or software applications and other technology solutions, through formal and informal means.
Configure, deploy and maintain desktop and laptop computers, mobile computing devices and other technologies.
Respond to and resolve general hardware and software issues.
Perform user account creation and rights assignments.
Maintain an accurate inventory of technologies to include Chromebooks, laptops, desktops and other technology equipment.
Troubleshoot general printer issues.
Create documentation as appropriate for new software.
Process documents and web-page for accessibility (such as screen readers and other assistive technology.)

Salary range: Depending on experience.
