Position: Safe and Inclusive Schools Manager (Operations and Policy Analyst 4)

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Safe and Inclusive Schools Manger (Operations and Policy Analyst4) to join our management team at the Oregon Department of Education. What you will do!
This position is the lead for the Safe and Inclusive Schools (SIS) team, helping coordinate policy and program planning and implementation across all SIS initiatives: School Safety and Prevention System (SSPS), bullying, cyberbullying, intimidation, harassment, and sexual violence, as well as suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention. The person in this position must root initiatives, partnerships, policies, and practices with a center in an equitable and inclusive school culture and climate. The person in this position must also have experience and expertise with school safety, belonging, and health/well-being.

The person in this position is responsible for the internal strategic coordination, collaboration, and partnership across SIS initiatives and other ODE-centric mental health, school safety and violence, and wellness programs. This position requires systems-thinking perspectives and approaches, and must have a strong partner, facilitator, collaborator, and team player as the lead. The person in this position will lead a variety of initiatives and support on both a policy and practice level - as a lead advisor to OEDI and ODE leadership on legislative issues and other unique grant opportunities that support student safety and well-being.

This Is What You Need To Qualify:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.

OR;

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
