Salary: $133,349 - $157,963 per year
This position is temporary and is expected to last the duration of the 2022/2023 school year.
The Principal Coach - PD Facilitator & Leadership Coach will work to support the strategic plan of Professional Learning and Leadership as well as the vision of Portland Public Schools. The focus will be specifically on supporting new leaders in PPS to attain and/or deepen the knowledge, skills, and dispositions articulated in the PPS Leader Profile and Oregon School Leader Standards. These duties include but are not limited to: adult learning, curriculum development, coaching, management and facilitation of a continuous improvement process using principles of improvement science, data analysis of professional growth over time, and data-informed interventions and support to meet diverse learning needs of adults across the system.
The position will provide training support to our professional learning activities for new leaders as well as support district partnerships with higher education in service of leadership development and strategies. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in adult professional learning and school improvement, proven experience and/or training in coaching, possess advanced knowledge of culturally responsive practices, experience as a secondary school administrator (ideally with some experience at the high school level), and understand current changes in pre-service preparation. This position will collaborate and be an active team member within the Professional Learning and Leadership (PLL) department and the Office of School Performance more broadly to meet a variety of goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree.
5 years of successful principal experience.
Demonstrate an understanding of root causes for achievement disparities.
3 years of experience in facilitating adult professional learning.
Knowledge of adult practices that address root causes and eliminate achievement disparities.
Formal RESJ or racial equity training that can be verified.
Formal training in disciplined inquiry.
A valid Oregon Administrator License or the ability to receive one within 90 days of hire.
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or notice of medical or religious exception at the time of hire.
