Elkton School District #34 is currently accepting applications for a High School Math Teacher

We are searching for a full-time teacher to begin when hiring process has been complete. The teacher will work to:
• Create a welcoming, engaging learning environment
• Prepare and deliver lessons plans
• Communicate with students in an understandable, effective way about daily lessons and instructions
• Provide a variety of learning materials for use in educational activities
• Develop flexible, effective teaching tools and methods to help students learn mathematics
• Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development
• Maintain accurate and complete records of student’s progress and development
• Manage student behavior in the classroom enforcing school rules of behavior, class participation and conduct
• Provide extra assistance for students with academic challenges to support their math coursework
• Support your school’s success, partnering with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement

Qualifications
• Must meet state specific guidelines for the role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• A deep curiosity about life and love for learning
