Spanish Dual Language Arts / Dual Language Coordinator

The individual accepting this assignment will teach Spanish Dual Language Arts to students in grades 9-12. Planning time to support the Dual Language Coordinator role will be included within the certified teacher contract schedule.

1. Must communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
2. Must work effectively with students of varying abilities.

Special Requirements: (Licensure, training, specialty skills or previous experience)
1. Valid Oregon teaching license appropriate to the assignment.
2. Language Arts endorsement required.
3. Must have knowledge of social/emotional needs of high school students, and the ability to work well with students, communicate with parents and peers.
4. Must be able to use a variety of learning and instructional models.
5. Preferred characteristics: enthusiasm and high energy; creative use of instructional strategies; and commitment to developing a sense of community.
6. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
7. Ability to work well with other staff, students, and parents.

This position is 1.0 FTE.
Start date: 2024-25 school year
