School Psychologist (Grades K - 12)
Kamath Falls City Schools Special Services Department is looking to expand and find additional colleagues who want to work with a supportive team in the Klamath Basin.

This is a 190-day (academic year) contract.

SALARY: $49,638.36-$92,138.12 DOE + 16% of Base stipend

Hiring Bonus: All new hire teachers that are properly licensed and endorsed (meaning- not on an emergency license, restricted license, or with a conditional assignment endorsement) will receive the signing bonus. For staff that are not properly licensed or endorsed, they shall receive the bonus once properly licensed/endorsed (within three years of hire) and will be paid as defined below as much as possible. This bonus will not be extended to current District teachers or former District teachers (including retirees) who left the district in the last five years. The signing bonus will be paid in three payments: Year one (1): $2,500; Year two (2): $1,500; and Year three (3) $1,000. Prorated based upon FTE.

Insurance: Generous Health, dental, and vision contribution from the district, currently up to $2,130 (based upon family coverage), TBD for 2024-2025.

PERS Retirement: The district assumes and pays the 6% average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.

SCHEDULE: 190 Days + 3 days new teacher inservice

POSITION GOAL:
Provide assistance to KFCS schools and programs with psychological evaluations, instructional and behavioral consultation, crisis intervention, and staff development activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide psychological assessments and written reports.
2. Provide consultation to teachers regarding instructional, behavioral, and social interventions.
3. Provide crisis intervention and short term counseling.
4. Provide staff development in-services concerning assessment, instruction, and intervention strategies.
5. Assist schools in multidisciplinary, IEP, placement, intervention, and other educational decisions.
6. Communicate clearly and appropriately and make independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
7. Establish and maintain positive, flexible, and cooperative relationships with district staff.
8. Prepare accountability records regarding services provided.
9. Participate in professional growth activities.
10. Comply with district rules and policies.
11. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.
12. Perform job-related tasks as designated by supervisor.

Qualifications:
1. Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices School (TSPC) license with School Psychologist endorsement.
2. Master's degree in school/educational psychology from an accredited college or university.

Salary and Benefits:
This position is a full-time licensed position. Placement on the Klamath Falls Education Association licensed salary schedule will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, experience and prorated according to start date.
