Bus Driver Trainer | 8 Hours | Start Date: 09/30/2024 | 12 Month Calendar

GENERAL DUTIES:
Provide training required by the State Department of Education and the Department of Motor Vehicles in licensing school bus drivers for the District.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or its equivalent
Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a valid Oregon School Bus Driver’s Certificate or be able to obtain both within 60 days
Familiarity with the geographic area inside the District boundaries
Pass a pre-employment drug test
Must have a clean driving record.
Must have been a certified school bus driver in good standing with ODE for a minimum of 2 years.
Must have held an ODE driver training assistant certificate for a minimum of 6 months preferred.
Previous ODE certified school bus driver training experience preferred.
Must have previous experience in teaching in a classroom environment or in public speaking.
