Salary: Currently $49,638.36-$92,138.12 (DOE), plus 16% of base stipend, still being negotiated for 2025-2026.

Insurance: Generous Health, dental, and vision contribution from the district, currently up to $2202 (based upon family coverage), TBD for 2025-2026.

PERS Retirement: The district assumes and pays the 6% average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.

Schedule:190 Days + 3 days new teacher in-service

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Description:
Evaluate and diagnose students with communication disorders; develop and prescribe appropriate interventions and modifications.
Participate in the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
Communicate effectively with parents through conferences, virtual meetings, phone calls, and written correspondence.
Provide direct and consultative services to students eligible for speech and language support.
Collaborate with staff to design and implement classroom modifications and communication supports.
Complete all required documentation, including timely Medicaid billing.
Lead selected staff development activities related to communication disorders.
Supervise on-staff Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Actively engage in professional development activities and contribute to program improvement initiatives.
Offer communication-related consultation services to community preschool staff.
Provide professional development and training on communication strategies to community preschool programs.

Qualifications:
Successful completion of an approved speech pathology program.
Oregon teachers’ license with speech language impaired endorsement and acquire Oregon Health Board of Examiners’ speech pathology license, or.
Oregon Health Board of Examiners’ speech pathology license.
Prefer American Speech and Hearing Association Certificate Clinical Competence.
Complete all district required hiring processes and trainings.
Obtain Registration with the Central Background Registry.
