**General Information
Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) Behavior Safety Assessment System Specialist position; bilingual Spanish preferred. This position requires an Oregon Teacher Standards & Practices Commission (TSPC) license with endorsements in School Counseling, Social Work, and/or School Psychology. Successful candidate will work as a member of the School Safety team, part of the School Improvement Services Department, and will follow a 205-day calendar. This position will be based at the Willamette ESD Marion Center in Salem, OR and will begin as soon as possible upon conclusion of the selection process.
**Duties, Responsibilities & Qualifications
The WESD behavior programs may serve students K-12 grades who experience behaviors that impede their ability to access their education within their resident school district. Students
who attend this program are primarily from WESD’s 21 area partner districts and access the program via purchased slots available through WESD’s Local Service Plan The Principal will provide leadership for all programmatic, curricular, and operational decisions and serve as liaison with partner districts, support entities, and law enforcement. Duties will include student supervision, staff supervision, operations, budget, program planning, IEP services, behavior support plans, functional behavior assessments, and IDEA implementation. The principal must be skilled in methods for student engagement, contemporary behavior supports, and communication in complex systems. The Principal will identify and provide staff with required trainings and professional development in both pedagogy and behavioral supports. The Principal must prioritize safety and program compliance with Board policy and relevant Oregon Statutes.

**Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) licensed position represented by Willamette Valley Education Association.
Placement on the Willamette ESD licensed salary schedule, $56,801 - $106,165, will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, experience, and prorated according to start date. Salary and benefits shown are based upon full-time employment (1.0 FTE) for the entire school year contract period.
