Warrenton-Hammond School District is seeking a Special Education/Special Programs Director. This position provides leadership, support, and management for district special education and special programs. Ensures special education and special programs are administered in compliance with federal and state guidelines. Coordinates with building principals to supervise special education teachers and classified staff.
Applicant must have a valid administrative license and subject-specific endorsement(s) (special education) through the Teachers Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) or obtain by contract start date. Must have Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university and at least three years' related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree (M.A./M.S.) in Special Education or equivalent strongly preferred. Must be highly qualified under the reauthorized ESEA. Prior successful experience teaching students with varying disabilities, supervising and directing staff in a school setting required.
The salary range is $95,611 to $121,152, as per the Non-Represented Employee Salary Schedule, and is paid in 12 equal monthly installments. The position is a 220-day contract, including 10 paid holidays, with a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Additionally, the position provides five paid flex days and two paid personal days. The district also covers mileage, conference fees, and membership dues to COSA and/or other organizations.
