Reedsport School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Generalist for Reedsport School District beginning in the 2025-26 school year.

JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist provides essential support to the district’s human resources operations, delivering a broad range of services across key functional areas. This position is responsible for assisting with recruitment and onboarding, maintaining employee records, supporting benefits and leave administration, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and district policies. The HR Generalist serves as a key point of contact for staff and administrators, offering guidance on HR processes and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

$52,000 - $59,988 per year (Depending on relevant verifiable experience.)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job.
Coordinates classified and licensed recruitment processes, including job postings and applicant tracking.
Prepares and distributes hire letters and new hire paperwork.
Conduct new employee onboarding orientations.
Coordinate pre-employment processes (i.e., background checks, fingerprinting)
Ensures compliance with Teacher and Administrator licensure verification through Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC).
Maintain accurate and confidential personnel and medical files.
Assists with data entry and reporting within school district systems.
Track expiration dates for required licensure/certifications and send renewal reminders.
Ensure compliance with district policies, state/federal labor laws, and collective bargaining agreements.
Provide guidance on general Human Resource questions and associated district polices.
Coordinate job protected FMLA/OFLA, Paid Leave Oregon and other leave processes.
Coordinates communication between employees, supervisors, and third-party administrators as needed.
Assists employees with medical, dental and vision benefit-related questions and annual open enrollment processes.
Assist employees with the Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).
Prepares confidential documentation related to employee matters, investigations and performance.
Generates reports and assists with audits, record requests, and state mandated reporting.
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a human resources or administrative role involving confidential information.
Knowledge of employment practices, labor laws, and HR procedures.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
