Salary: Salary Schedule $133,598- $147,504 will be updated with final 2026 April CPIU (based on years of experience)

Retirement Contribution: Greater Albany School participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

Position Description: The Director of Special Programs establishes the vision guiding special education programs and services for students from kindergarten through post high school with disabilities with a focus on improving educational outcomes. Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding the provision of services to students with disabilities is a primary responsibility for this position. The director works closely with all staff within the department as well as coordinating with the staff from other departments and schools to ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA). This is a Cabinet-level position that reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Schools.
