The Medford School District is seeking an innovative and collaborative educational leader to serve as a middle school principal. Successful candidates possess the following:
Successful teaching and administrative experience as an instructional leader at the middle school level with a clear understanding of middle school philosophy and vision.
Knowledge of the literature of effective schools/school reform and effective instructional practices.
Experience in leading school improvement efforts and improving the academic achievement of all students while attending to the social-emotional developmental needs of students.
Experience with effective models for site-based professional development, innovative programs, and professional learning teams.
A record of strong, effective interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, parents and diverse populations within the community.
Demonstrated experience in cultivating and sustaining meaningful partnerships with families and community members that support achievement and well-being.
Valid Oregon Administrative License and Master's Degree or equivalent required.
