Salem-Keizer Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Deputy Superintendent - Chief Academic Officer beginning in the 2018-19 academic year.
The Deputy Superintendent is the chief academic officer for the district. The Deputy leads district initiatives that increase academic achievement for all students. The Deputy Superintendent oversees all aspects of teaching and learning in order to ensure positive, equitable outcomes for all students.
The Deputy Superintendent represents the district and Superintendent at public events and in various capacities with government and community organizations; facilitates communication with all stakeholders; and ensures that the Superintendent’s office is responsive to the needs of the Board, staff, and community, with specific attention to supporting equity and diversity.
Master’s degree or equivalent training
Valid Oregon license: Superintendent
Five years of executive experience resulting in acquired skills in planning, organizing, and directing a major area of responsibility
Skill in the identification, development, implementation, and assessment of all instructional programs
Skill analyzing data and systems to improve student achievement
K-12 Central Office experience preferred
Proven experience in raising student achievement as a school principal

Salary and Benefits:

$112,844 - $142,785 Annually
