Varsity Baseball Coach

Pilot Rock High School is searching for a Varsity Baseball coach for the 2022-2023 season. The yearly stipend for this position is $3,675.

Qualifications:

Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to motivate and support team members to give the highest level of performance possible.
Possess organizational skills.
Able to establish good relationships with athletes and parents.
Able to deal with stressful situations.
Able to demonstrate high levels of consistency and self-control.

Performance Responsibilities:

Be a positive role model for athletes and fans and to promote good sportsmanship.
Ensure that athletes have turned in all required paperwork before allowing them to participate in practices.
Promote interest in and garner enthusiasm for the athletic program to students, parents, and the community.
Teach fundamentals and skills of the sport.
Enforce all training rules and school regulations pertaining to athletes.
Supervise practice and play at all times.
Supervise the locker room when it is used by teams for which they are responsible.
Supervise athletes who ride the bus to and from road contests.
Assume responsibility for the facilities they use so as to maintain them.
Make recommendations about the purchase of athletic equipment pertaining to their sport.
Keep an accurate inventory of uniforms and equipment for their sport.
Take extreme care not to jeopardize the health and safety of athletes.
Work effectively under the leadership of the athletic director and school administrators.
Take part in the year-end athletic banquet.
Effectively communicate rules, procedures, and fundamentals of the sport to athletes.
Motivate athletes to prepare effectively and efficiently for athletic contests.
Understand the strengths and weaknesses of the athletes.
Comply with all district performance standards.
Perform work in an efficient, organized, and quality manner.
Comply with all district policies and procedures.
Be punctual, dependable, and complete assigned work in a timely manner.
Follow instructions and accept suggestions in a positive manner.
Work with others in a cooperative and positive manner.
Demonstrate personal habits and maintain appearances that are positive models for our students.
Deal with athletes and the public in a pleasant and courteous manner.
Take proper care and demonstrate a concern for supplies and equipment.
Communicate with supervisors about concerns.
Keep employee and school business confidential.
Maintain a friendly and cooperative attitude around supervisors, staff, students, and the general public.
Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
