ABOUT PACIFIC CREST MIDDLE SCHOOL

Pacific Crest Middle School (PCMS) is the newest of our district’s seven middle schools, having opened its doors in September, 2015. PCMS exists to empower students as creative thinkers, responsible decision-makers, and engaged members of society through practices that place the learner at the core of instruction. The nearly 700 students that attend PCMS are asked to create and engage in relevant learning, demonstrate a commitment to high quality work, and to recognize their impact on the world around them. PCMS is home to our district middle-level autism program, where students are in integral part of this full-inclusion model.

Through grade level communities, students are taught through an interdisciplinary approach that encourages collaboration, inquiry, innovation and risk-taking. A variety of elective offerings, including Project Lead the Way based courses, are also available to students. Additionally, there are a number of district, school, and community athletic, club and extra-curricular opportunities for students to become engaged in.
