Southern Oregon ESD is seeking an experienced, visionary educator to provide leadership, management, and coordination for Klamath Promise; to coordinate quality STEAM education both in and out of school; and to align K-12 with higher education courses along meaningful career pathways in identified areas of study. Under the direction of the Education Services Coordinator, and in collaboration with the Medford-based Project Manager, the successful candidate will ensure all project activities, objectives, and timelines are met by: successfully planning and providing opportunities that provide STEAM related activities in a variety of formats and educational settings; facilitating inter-organization and intra-organizational efforts to develop and implement plans to increase graduation rates; and coordinating the creation of dual-credit courses that increase student enrollment in meaningful career pathways aligned with career-related experiences that support students in transition from high school to postsecondary success.

POSITION GOAL: To provide leadership, management and coordination of project/grant activities in collaboration with local LEAs and other agencies to ensure that all objectives and timelines are successfully met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Locate, research, and prepare grant applications in collaboration with ESD staff and LEA's.
2.Monitor, review, and coordinate post-award contract/grant activities to ensure that Board policies, administrative procedures and agency requirements are being followed.
3.Serve as a liaison between the granting agency and the Business Office in the budgeting and preparation of grants and contracts.
4.Review all components of grant submission, ensuring that the proposal is formatted, packaged, and submitted in accordance with granting agency requirements.
5.Establish support structure and management of successful contract/grant awards.
6.Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the contract/grant.
7.Develop and implement an effective contract/grant evaluation instrument.
8.Develop professional development activities as they relate to the contract/grant.
9.Assist in developing project goals, policies, and procedures.
10.Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with SOESD employees, local education agency representatives and others contacted during the course of the workday.
11.Follow established SOESD policies and procedures.
12.Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation (see reverse).
13.Perform job related duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM PREREQUISITES:
1. Five or more years in public education, with successful experience in teaching, administration, or equivalent training and experience.
2. Masters Degree preferred.

LENGTH OF POSITION: To be determined by the superintendent.
SALARY: Per administrative salary schedule: $58,807-78,139., 1.0 FTE, 260 day Calendar
