Assist and work in collaboration with the principal to provide effective support and feedback to a range of staff members, foster parent and community relationships, implement and support school-wide behavior management and interventions, ensure school safety, and lead professional development.
The assistant principal will work with the principal to identify, plan, organize, and prioritize tasks on a daily basis. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Assist in overseeing programs for students with identified special needs
Manage student behavior in accordance with school and district policy to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment
Assist in managing student attendance
Assist in the selection and supervision of personnel
Facilitate problem solving with students, staff, and families
Communicate frequently and effectively with a variety of stakeholders
Work with the leadership team and analyze data to design and carry out the vision and goals of the school
Licensure, and Experience Requirements
Must hold or qualify for an Oregon Administrative License
Experience at the elementary level strongly preferred (especially teaching experience)
Experience with PBIS, behavior management, and evaluation of staff highly preferred
Salary Range and Benefits
The placement on the salary schedule is dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience; $88,194 - $96,211.
