The Redmond Proficiency Academy is seeking to hire a full-time middle school humanities teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This is a full-time assignment. Position is open until filled with a start date of August, 2020. Requirement for the position is as follows:
* Current Oregon licensure to teach middle school humanities - Language Arts endorsement required. Preference given for applicant with additional social science endorsement.
* Seeking person with experience or interest in teaching advanced level courses.
Teacher is the primary instructional delivery person in the classroom. Student achievement and growth are primarily dependent on the work and efforts of the classroom teacher. The position is demanding, varied and complex. The classroom teacher must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be well trained in content knowledge and teaching strategies.
