ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policy(ies) and procedures.
Administers the school and its instructional program in all its facets.
Implements board policies and administrative regulations.
Actively engages the community to create shared responsibility for student and school success.
Interviews, hires and supervises the elementary school staff, providing assistance and conducting evaluations.
Effectively manages conflict within the school building.
Ensures the safety and security of students and school building at all times.
Implements appropriate elementary disciplinary procedures regarding student behavior in compliance with District policies.
Communicates with parents, staff, counselors, and others to address student behavior and discipline issues.
Coordinates the elementary school’s student activities and services.
Plans, develops, and attends all staff meetings.
Participates in IEP and 504 meetings as necessary or required.
Writes and presents reports at school board meetings.
Plans and implements appropriate professional development for staff members.
Informs the Superintendent of the needs, activities and condition of the school(s).
Prepares and administers annual building budget within District guidelines and ensures compliance with program requirements.
Observes and evaluates all staff members and completes required evaluation documentation.
Assumes responsibility for the attendance, conduct and health of students.
Promotes and participates in the ongoing improvement of the elementary school curriculum.
Informs the District office about activities in the school and forwards or causes to be forwarded required reports.
Provides input to the District budget committee, as required.
Completes special projects as assigned.
Exercises decisive leadership in all situations.
Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries.
Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff and students.
Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours as required.
Complies with applicable District, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations.
Attends work regularly and is punctual.
MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marginal duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
Attends meetings as required by District.
Inspects facilities and campus for health and safety concerns.
Substitute teaches as necessary.

SALARY RANGE: $87,600 - $108,078
Benefits include: District-paid premium for medical, vision and dental HSA-compliant plans. District pays PERS and contributes to HSA annually for full-time employees.
CONTRACT LENGTH: 220 Days

Valid Oregon Administrative License required
Previous Administrative experience preferred
Previous AVID experience or training preferred
Proficient Spanish speakers receive additional salary differential of 2%
