POSITION:
• Functional Learning Center Instructional Assistant for Special Education Classroom (Multiple Positions)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
7.5 hours per day / 5 days per week / 183 days per school year
SALARY:
$13.35-14.77 per hour depending upon experience and pending negotiations

08/31/2015

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree, 72 quarter (48 semester) hours of post-secondary coursework or High School Diploma and pass a rigorous local assessment;
Evidence of good leadership and citizenship qualities and an interest in working with special needs students;
Ability to communicate well with adults and children;
Prior job‐related experience recommended, but not required;
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable; and
Have a current First Aid card.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with students in reading groups with disabilities in a school setting;
Bilingual – Spanish/English; and
Classes in an Instructional Assistant Certification Program.
