COSA, OSBA and OEA to host ‘Oregon Rising’ Webinar
COSA, OSBA, and OEA, are hosting a webinar on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 6:00p.m. to introduce ‘Oregon Rising,’ a new public engagement project founded on the premise that most Oregonians share the belief that when our children are successful, we are all successful.
The goal of Oregon Rising is to promote conversations that will inspire a movement to provide Oregon’s children with the schools and educational experiences they deserve – great schools that will lead not only to the great state of Oregon, but also a great future for our communities and our economy. This new project is intended to build on the foundation created by OSBA’s “The Promise of Oregon” campaign to support Oregon schools in providing a high-quality and well-rounded educational experience to all students.
During this webinar, OSBA, OEA and COSA will share information about the upcoming public engagement process that will ask parents, educators, school board members, and community members to describe the educational experience they want for young people in their communities.
Presenters during the webinar will be: COSA Executive Director Craig Hawkins, OSBA Executive Director Betsy Miller-Jones, Deputy Executive Director Jim Green, and OEA Executive Director Richard Sanders.
