The short session of the Oregon Legislature adjourned last Friday after 33 days of work that drew mixed reviews from lawmakers and Capitol regulars. The most common complaint was that the liberal bill introduction policy brought back legislation that failed to make the grade in the last regular session, which ended less than a year ago.
Oregon public school districts, ESDs and the Oregon Department of Education can post information about administrator jobs, free of charge, on the COSA website. “It’s a great place for districts to post jobs, and a great place for administrators and aspiring administrators who are seeking jobs.”

The March Quarterly State Revenue forecast released this morning showed virtually no growth in state funds. This is good news as this projects biennial revenue growth of approximately 1.2 percent, which is comfortably below the 2 percent kicker threshold.

The second annual short session of the Legislature begins Monday, Feb. 3. It can last no longer than 35 days and rules allow only a very limited number of bills, but here are a few that might be of interest to you.
