We are looking for a Licensing Specialist, Compliance Specialist 2 within the Office of Child Care in the Early Learning Division! This position is a Full-time, Permanent, classified role represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and located in our Salem, Oregon office.
As a Licensing Specialist, you will be motivated by the commitment to child safety by working directly with child care providers and families in implementing ELD’s overall child safety goals, regulatory laws, and statutes by providing coaching, learning, and compliance enforcement.
Our Licensing Specialists promote the health, safety, and well-being of children in child care facilities through licensing. Staff conducts initial licensing visits, pre-certification consult visits, announced and unannounced review and monitoring visits, assess complaint allegations against licensed facilities and allegations of possible illegal care against unlicensed facilities.
This is an exciting role due to its fast-paced nature, opportunities to be inquisitive, and the prospect of being involved in providing quality early childhood care and education to the children of Oregon.
