ECI Speech Language Pathologist 8 hrs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful completion of an approved speech pathology program.
Oregon teachers’ license with speech impaired endorsement and acquire Oregon Health Board of Examiners’ speech pathology license, or
Oregon Health Board of Examiners’ speech pathology license.

REPORTS TO: Director of Early Learning

JOB GOAL: To help children communicate appropriately through planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized family service plans.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assess individual speech-language needs of children and make recommendations.
Prepare individual family service plans and materials.
Deliver effective speech-language therapy to identified children.
Consult with parents to integrate home and/or school goals.
Assist schools in multidisciplinary meetings, placement, intervention, and other educational decisions.
Provide consultation to teachers regarding speech-language interventions.
Establish and maintain positive, flexible, and cooperative relationships with the school and greater community.
Make independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
Prepare accountability records regarding services provided.
Communicate clearly and appropriately.
Participate in professional growth activities.
Comply with district rules and policies.
Supervision of SLPA's.
Perform job-related tasks as designed by the supervisor.
Obtain and maintain certification through the Central Background Registry. This is in addition to the distirict required process for employment.
SALARY:

2021-2022 $43,727.96 to $81,167.30 DOE

* A stipend of $5,000.00 annually and District sponsored licensure and attendance to OSHA

SCHEDULE:

190 days (days to be prorated to reflect actual start date).
