Job Description:

We are seeking multiple IDEA Research Analysts (Research Analyst 3). These positions are in our Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities (OESO), Resource Management & Operations Team with the Oregon Department of Education. These are limited-duration positions scheduled to end June 30, 2023, however they may be extended pending funding. What you will do!
As a member of ODE’s IDEA team, this position serves as a liaison and point of contact to provide technical assistance and training to districts, school level data submitters, contractors and providers of data. This position will also provide support to OESO involving data management and reporting requirements of the Federal Office of Special Programs.

This Is What You Need To Qualify
A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline that included six (6) quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and one (1) year experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports; OR Four (4) years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.

Candidates who are the most competitive will possess a compelling combination of the following background, skills, and experience:
● Experience providing technical assistance, support, analysis, and quality assurance for data collections
● Experience with data management and reporting
● Experience providing analysis, quality assurance, and information for technical reports, including federal, state, and public data requests and legislative reports.
● Experience managing a program with multiple priorities and partner commitments
● Experience building and maintaining relationships across communities
● Familiarity with Microsoft Office
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team-related skills
● Strong time management and organizational skills
● Commitment to continuous improvement
● Commitment to Equity and Inclusion

Additional Information
● Employees who are Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS; the salary range noted above reflects base salary only.
● Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, our positions may start off fully remote with a possibility of returning to a physical office in the future. Please visit the state’s Work Reimagined website for more information.
