POSITION: High School Principal
LOCATION: Pleasant Hill High School
QUALIFICATIONS: The District is seeking a full-time administrative position with outstanding leadership, given a highly trained and capable staff and a very supportive community.
LEADERSHIP QUALITIES
• Highly visible in the school and community; actively participates in school and community activities; special emphasis on being involved in classroom activities
• Demonstrates a commitment to the importance of both the academic and extracurricular programs with an emphasis on a well-rounded education
• Demonstrates strong decision making and problem-solving ability; able to delegate responsibility to others; able to make tough decisions; and follows through
• Provides visionary leadership; demonstrates a thoughtful approach to collaborative consensus building when working with diverse groups and individuals
• Uses a management style to engage the participation and leadership of stakeholders within the school and community
• Willing to respect the effort in current planning and build upon what has been done
• Flexible and creative with a strong commitment to student success
ADMINISTRATION/EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
• A proven record of successful teaching and administrative experience in a public school district, preferably in a rural community
• Understands effective educational programs and improvement strategies
• Can lead instructional improvement efforts while supporting extra-curricular prog rams
• Knowledgeable and supportive of special education, Title I and early education programs
• Has a reputation for building supportive relationships with all staff/stakeholders and for treating staff/stakeholders with dignity and respect
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
• Possesses exceptional communication skills
• Ability to develop and communicate a comprehensive vision of quality education for grades 9-12 and to post-high school
• Is accessible and listens to suggestions of others with an open mind and is respectful of dissenting opinions
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL CHARACTER
• Establishes high levels of trust with others
• Demonstrates an elevated level of personal/ professional honesty, integrity and fairness
• Possesses a good sense of humor and a positive attitude
• Desires a long-term commitment with the district and community
REQUIREMENTS: Valid Oregon Administrative License and have a proven record of successful instructional
leadership. Ability to pass Drug Screen required. Compliance with the Oregon Health Authority’s rules related to the COVID-19 vaccination.

SALARY: $105,000-$115,000, 222 to 223-day contract
CLOSING DATE: February 15, 2022 or until filled
