Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Database Architect (Information Systems Specialist 8). This position in the Enterprise Services unit of our Office of Finance and Information Technology (OFIT) with the Oregon Department of Education. This is a permanent, full-time position. What you will do!
The Senior Database Architect will design, implement and maintain the corporate data resources (such as databases, data transfers, data service) and has the an advisory role on the overall technological planning, direction, and strategy for the Department of Education and defining requirements for the efficient and effective use of the Department's data resources.

This Is What You Need To Qualify
Seven (7) years of information systems experience in database architecture;
OR
An Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field AND five (5) years of information systems experience in database architecture;
OR
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND three (3) years of information systems experience in database architecture;
OR
A Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in database architecture.
Candidates who are the most competitive will possess a compelling combination of the following background, skills, and experience:
• Computer programming skills
• Experience as an SQL developer
• Experience as a Database architect
• Experience with Visual Studio 2014 and higher
• SQL Systems architecture, design and integration experience
• M/S SQL Server Stack (e.g. SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) experience
• Design, implementation and management of SQL instances and clusters experience
• Database modeling experience
• Experience with migration to Cloud base
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
● Employees who are Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS; the salary range noted above reflects base salary only.
