Elizabeth Polay, Garett Heman Robertson, P.C.

Elizabeth Polay represents school districts and education service districts on a wide range of issues. She has extensive experience in advising clients regarding special education, civil rights, and disability discrimination matters in public schools and has successfully negotiated agreements in dozens of alternative dispute resolution settings. She assists clients in navigating the varied Oregon Department of Education complaint processes. She also helps public entity clients navigate public records, public meetings, and employment and labor law issues. Prior to joining us, Elizabeth practiced with a well-respected Portland school law firm. Before becoming an
attorney, Ms. Polay was a high school math teacher and taught in high-needs districts and alternative settings. During law school, she clerked at the Oregon Department of Justice.
